Infants are such a joy to engage with. We aim to be an active part of their development and engage them in learning to control their muscles by reaching and stretching. Helping to develop their language skills is a pivotal point in recognizing early language barriers. Reading and direct communication stimulates infants.
Young toddlers have a natural love for music. By the time they are walking, they are fully engaged in exploring and the use of body language is almost natural. We want to actively engage them with music and singing. The skills they learn as a young toddler are learning to recognize melodies and words associated with songs. We also work with coloring, language and gaining self- confidence.
3-year-olds have a knack for building. At this stage, we encourage building with blocks in an effort to help them control their small muscles. We are incorporating, recognition of colors, singing and word recognition with songs, coloring and the appreciation of artwork, self-confidence building, and preparation for new skills in recognizing letters, numbers, and writing. Language is very important so a second language is pivotal as they engage with other cultures. Even a little scribble helps to develop hand-eye coordination and is a work of Art!
Moving forward are ages 4 and up. There is so much to do from preparation for kindergarten to homework help. We strive to help our children with the basic building blocks of life that include simple math and reading skills to manners and table etiquette. We want to help develop well rounded children that can be self-sufficient and self-starters. All activities are chosen to foster the child’s spiritual, social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth. They will differ according to the age of the child, and will vary with the time of the year.
